Quick Start Guide

BandAider is the all-in-one platform for gigging musicians — manage your bands, coordinate schedules, build set lists, and create performance-ready backing tracks.

#What is BandAider?

BandAider is the all-in-one platform for gigging musicians. Whether you need to coordinate your band's schedule, build a set list for Saturday's gig, tune up before a rehearsal, or turn a song into a performance-ready backing track — BandAider has you covered.

Band Management

Create bands, invite members, manage gigs, venues, and finances — your whole band organized in one shared workspace.

Availability and Scheduling

Members mark their available or blocked dates on a shared calendar. See at a glance when the whole band is free to rehearse or gig.

Free Musician Tools

Tuner, metronome, chord and scale reference, chord chart transposer with Nashville Numbers, and set list builder — all free, no account required.

AI Backing Tracks

Upload any song and get a performance-ready bundle with click track, intro count, timestamped lyrics, and cue prompts — ready for StageTraxx or any player.

The musician tools and core band features are completely free — no account required for tools, and free sign-up for band management. The Backing Track Builder uses tokens (3 free on sign-up), with subscription plans for regular use.

#Band Manager

BandAider gives your whole band a shared workspace. Create a band, invite your members with a code, and manage everything from gigs and venues to finances and scheduling — all in one place.

Create and Join Bands

Start a band and share the invite code, or join an existing band using a code someone sent you. No limits on band size.

Members and Roles

See every band member at a glance. Assign instruments (guitar, drums, keys, etc.) and roles — managers control settings and finances, players see the shared workspace.

Gigs

Track upcoming and past gigs with dates, times, venues, set lists, and notes. Members RSVP (going / can't go / maybe) so you know who's available.

Venues

Save venue details — name, address, capacity, and contact info — so you can quickly assign a venue when creating a gig.

Availability and Scheduling

Each member marks which dates they're free or blocked on a personal calendar. The band's scheduling dashboard shows an aggregated grid — members as rows, dates as columns — color-coded so you can instantly spot dates when everyone is available.

Financials

Track income and expenses per gig. See running totals across all gigs and calculate member payouts with equal or custom splits. Mark individual payments as complete.

Getting started is easy — create a band, share the invite code, and your members join with a free account.

#Musician Tools

Free tools for every musician — no account required. Open any tool and start using it immediately.

#Backing Track Builder

Turn any song into a performance-ready backing track bundle with click track, intro count, cue prompts, and timestamped lyrics. Choose one of two workflows:

Whole Song (AI)

Upload a single audio file. The AI separates it into 6 tracks (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, other), detects the title, artist, and BPM — then generates everything automatically.

Individual Tracks

Already have your tracks separated (from a DAW, Karaoke-Version, or another source)? Upload them directly. Enter the song title and BPM, and BandAider adds click, intro, lyrics, and cue prompts.

#Whole Song Flow (AI)

The fastest way to create a backing track. Upload one audio file and the AI handles everything — track separation, song detection, BPM, click generation, and lyrics transcription.

Best for: You have a mixed/mastered song and want the full package without manual track separation.
1

Upload your song

Choose the "Whole Song AI" option on the start page, then drag and drop your audio file. Supported formats: MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A (up to 500 MB).

2

AI separates and detects

The AI separates your song into 6 tracks (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, other) and detects the song title, artist, and BPM. This takes about 1 to 2 minutes.

3

Assign key tracks

Confirm which track is the lead vocal (for lyrics), which is the click reference (usually drums), and review the auto-detected BPM.

4

Review lyrics

The AI transcribes your lyrics and syncs them to the vocal timing. Review line breaks — each line becomes a separate phrase on screen during playback. Edit if needed, then approve.

5

Preview

Listen to a preview mix of your backing track, verify lyrics timing, and check the click track alignment before proceeding.

6

Pay and download

Use a token from your subscription or pay per song, then download your backing track bundle as a .st4s file (for StageTraxx) or .zip (for any player).

#Individual Tracks Flow

If you already have your tracks separated, upload them directly and skip the AI separation step.

Best for: You have individual instrument tracks ready to go and just need click, intro count, and lyrics added.
1

Upload your tracks

Choose "Individual Tracks" on the start page. Enter the song title, artist, and BPM, then drag and drop all your audio tracks.

2

Assign key tracks

Tell BandAider which track is the lead vocal and which is the drums/click reference. This determines how the click track and lyrics are generated.

3

Review lyrics

Review the AI-transcribed lyrics. Adjust line breaks to control how phrases appear on screen, then approve.

4

Pay and download

Use a token or pay per song, then download your backing track bundle.

#FAQ

Is BandAider free?

Yes — the musician tools (tuner, metronome, chords, scales, transposer), set lists, and core band management features are completely free with no account required. The Backing Track Builder uses tokens, and you get 3 free tokens when you sign up.

How do I set up my band?

Go to the Bands page, create a band, and share the invite code with your members. They sign up (free), enter the code, and join your shared workspace with gigs, venues, availability, set lists, and more.

How does the Availability Calendar work?

Each band member marks dates as available, blocked, or tentative on their personal calendar (supports click-drag for quick multi-day selection). The band's scheduling dashboard aggregates everyone's availability into a color-coded grid so you can instantly see which dates the whole band is free.

What are the musician tools?

BandAider includes a chromatic tuner, tap-tempo metronome, chord reference for guitar, scale reference with fretboard visualization, a chord chart transposer with Nashville Numbers and capo suggestions, and a set list builder with MusicBrainz search. All free, no login required.

What does the Backing Track Builder do?

Upload a whole song or individual tracks and BandAider generates a performance-ready bundle — click track, intro count, cue prompts, and timestamped lyrics — packaged for StageTraxx (.st4s) or as a WAV zip for any player.

What audio formats are supported?

MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, and M4A. Each file can be up to 500 MB.

How long does AI separation take?

Usually 1 to 2 minutes depending on song length. You'll see a progress indicator showing separation and processing as distinct steps.

Can I edit the lyrics after they're generated?

Yes. The Lyrics step lets you edit line breaks and phrasing. Click "Save and Re-timestamp" to regenerate the timings after editing.

What is a .st4s file?

It's the native file format for StageTraxx, a live performance app. It bundles all your tracks, click, cue track, and lyrics into a single file you can open and play immediately.

Each backing track bundle costs 1 token (2 tokens if using AI separation). You get 3 free tokens when you sign up. Subscription plans include monthly tokens, and you can buy top-up packs any time.

Can I track band finances?

Yes. The Financials tab in each band lets you log income and expenses per gig, see running totals, calculate member payouts with equal or custom splits, and mark payments as complete.

Can I switch between dark and light mode?
